Group Therapy

A group is the one setting where you find out how you actually are with other people, rather than how you describe yourself.

Draft, awaiting clinical review

This page is a working draft. It has not yet been reviewed and approved by our clinical team, and it is not indexed by search engines until it is.

What this is about

A therapy group is a small, closed, confidential space with one or two clinicians holding it. Part of the value is simply not being the only one. The other part is that the patterns you bring to relationships tend to show up in the room, where they can be looked at as they happen rather than reconstructed afterwards.

What work here looks like

It suits people working on loneliness, shame, or relational patterns, and it often runs alongside individual therapy rather than instead of it. Groups are not the right container during acute crisis. Confidentiality is agreed by everyone before a group begins.

Nothing on this page is a diagnosis. If you are in immediate danger or worried you might act on thoughts of harming yourself, please contact Tele-MANAS (14416 or 1-800-89-14416, available 24×7 across India) or your local emergency services.
